Teree Sang movie and songs
Teree Sang is a movie about teenage pregnancy which is rampant and is growing in our society. Maahi (15), played by debutant Sheena is sweet bubbly and the only child of the ‘Puri’ family who are upward and quite prosperous. She has the best of material comforts and education. While Kabir (played by Ruslaan Mumtaz) is an aspiring, arrogant, negligent, rebellious, demanding, loving yet not romantic i17 year old. He belongs to the lower end of society.
Maahi and Kabir become friends and as their relationship grows, they become intimate and slowly they give in to their hormonal drives and Maahi gets pregnant. The movie later leads to how Maahi faces the brunt and accepts her mistake and follows a path that will require her to be courageous and determined.
Music
As far as the music of this film is concerned, everyone’s’ too excited about it because the music has been given by newcomers Sachin and Jigar. The lyrics are given by Sameer. And there are a couple of guest songs each by Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri as well.
I must say that the songs of Sachin-Jigar must be heard atleast once because they seem to be quite impressive. Opening song 'I will be there for you' is fantastic and singers Clinton and Dominique Cerejo come together for this lovely romantic youthful number. One song that has swept away everyone is 'Morey Saiyan', which is an absolute killer however, the song doesn’t feature a remix version and I think we all would have quite liked it had it been there!
Another song 'Maula Mila De' keeps the rock mood on with the western arrangements that it has. Then there is a 'thehrav' in the album soon after which you hear 'Rab Milya' which is quite a soothing one. The album also has a rap and moves on to the vocals of Bappi Lahiri who also composes the song. 'Chal Mera Haath Pakad Le' is sung by Anu Malik and is quite peppy in its beat. Overall, all the songs have quite a fresh feel t it and kudos to the music directors Sachin and Jigar.
